Information we collect
We store the account information needed to operate Buddie: email address, university, display name, a one-way hash derived from University + Student ID, encrypted password credentials, study recruitment posts, participation status, Credits and reports.
Questionnaire responses
Buddie does not host or store questionnaire answers. Research responses remain on the external service chosen by the researcher. Do not submit questionnaire answers to Buddie.
How information is used
We use platform data to provide accounts, prevent duplicate registrations, publish studies, track participation, award Credits, investigate reports and protect the service.
Sharing and retention
Student IDs are never displayed publicly. Public study posts show the information supplied by the researcher. We do not sell personal information. Account records remain until deletion is requested or required for security and legal purposes.
Your choices
You may change your password or permanently delete your account and associated platform records from Profile. External questionnaire data must be handled with the external provider and researcher.
Security and contact
We use access controls, signed sessions and hashed credentials, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. For access, correction, deletion or privacy questions, contact the administrator below.
